Cardiac Surgery Database Analysis

At Allamanda Hospital, we collect our patient data on a database similar to the STS (used in North America) and the European System. This enables us to analyze our patient data and produce a scoring system to assess our results. Patients that perform less well than expected can be easily identified.

Overall, the performance of our cardiac surgery unit continues to exceed the predicted outcome based on our patient population.

As with most cardiac surgery units in Queensland, we are required to submit our data to Queensland Health.
