The new gap cover health insurance policies will
only work to pay some of all of the gap between Dr.
John Tan’s fee and the Commonwealth Schedule rebate if you received informed
financial consent before the operation and sign to show that you have received
same.
In most cases the “Gap” amount will be less than that recommended by
the Australian Medical Association.
